Bill and this company was recommended to me by a friend. I'm super glad they came, Ismael and Alex were on site as they replaced our old flat roof and installed insulation as well, plus removed three (!!!) junky satellite dishes and replaced the roof vent pipes. What I appreciated the most is that they asked to help clean their debris out of the neighbors yard, huge props for that. Great quality and value, highly recommend! I never thought putting on a new roof would become an enjoyable experience. I have highest praise for Bill Richards and the whole team from General Roofing. Everyone I met and interacted with, from administrative and scheduling assistance performed by Marissa to the efficiency and professionalism of Juan, the crew foreman, was of the highest level. Due to some of the intricacies of the job, 3 layers of past roofing materials, an attic with blown insulation, landscaping that needed to be protected, and the unknowns of a house built over 100 years ago, we were cautious about who we would hire. After five different roofing companies gave estimates, all reputable and competent, we chose General Roofing. They have been in business for almost 100 years and for good reason. Bill Richards not only provided the most in-depth explanation of what was needed but was the only contractor who designed a novel solution to the landscaping issues we presented. based on my experiences, it was not all good doing business with general roofing. professionals would provide advice and consultation, and know and utilize best practices. their "director of operations" bill richards was not helpful, did not provide this communications and consultation nor advice as part of the scope of work effort. also, they use sub-contractors which did not utilize best practices for my roofing project, and now i'm left to pick-up the tab with additional out-of pocket costs to correct their workmanship. oh, and let's not forget their "general manager" shane wakerling; he was not helpful, not a person of his word, and as a result, not to be trusted. for me, not a helpful company, not a good customer experience, aggravating for the lack of communication, disrespectful, and certainly not a happy customer, especially the manner in which they dismiss my concerns regarding the workmanship of their contractors. unfortunately, spent close to $20K with this company. knowing
