We moved to Maryland during Covid, but we kept our home in Salinas and we have renters in it. The previous renters absolutely destroyed the painted deck finish on our redwood deck and we had to do something to save the deck from rotting away when they moved out. We were given a lot of ridiculous quotes by other companies for replacing or refinishing the deck. Even our management company told us we should just rip out the deck and their contacts gave us ridiculously priced quotes. SpeedBoy has a lot of good reviews, so I decided to go with them. Frankie was easy to work with and provided a lot of knowledge and advice during the process. His office staff seems to be part-time, so you are better off calling them directly and not trying to contact them by email. Any emails I sent were very slow to be answered, but were always answered. Communication by phone and text was fast and very professional. Honestly, I have not seen the finished deck in person except from pictures, but the renters

I am very happy with the job that Speed Boy's team did. They were always on time, cleaned up after themselves, and worked around the rain that slowed them a bit but did not stop them! They had a lot of prep work to do but spent the necessary time to attend to all the details. Frankie came back three times to make sure that I would be happy with the colors. I love them! I was especially impressed with the crew working just as well when Frankie was out of town and with him staying in touch with me and his team to answer questions. They went to extra lengths and brought in extra people to get the exposed wood covered before the rain came. I would highly recommend their work to anyone. Thank you!!
