Beam work makes the dream work! Steve and his crew helped to sound proof a basement home office by enclosing exposed HVAC that was carrying sound throughout the home via the registers. My concern was the actual sound proofing and the aesthetics--we didn't want just any enclosure that would look off, or didn't go with the aesthetic of the home. Form and function were key. Steve knew the exact sound proofing material to use, and the final product looks like it was built with the original house plans. All trim and details were in keeping with the craftsman aesthetic of the house. His team was professional and kind which was a huge bonus--they were clearly confident and capable, which was a nice departure from the guys in huge trucks that typically show up with fragile egos. All of the furniture and plants were covered the entire time, and they did a final sweep and vacuum before they left. Steve replaced the treads on a set of rickety old basement stairs. I was stunned at how beautiful they turned out! His attention to detail was incredible. His crew went above and beyond by repairing the stringers and cleaning out decades of rubble and other surprises we found under the stairs. (The attached pics show the before and after of the treads. Please ignore the awful paint- that's on my to-do list.) Steve also gave me some honest, realistic advice on a bathroom remodel project, which was really helpful! I highly recommend him.
