Roof Bear

Roof bear did a great job installing a brand new roof for me and my wife and after checking around I only noticed there was only one nail after the initial cleanup. They did a great job overall, we are very happy.

On 10/20/2022 we contracted with Solar Bear for a new roof and solar panels. On 11/29/22 the shingles were delivered and stored on our existing roof. Two weeks later the old roof was removed, but the nails and debris from this process remain in our yard to date (1/11/23). Tar paper was installed but the new roof was not installed until 12/31/22. During the interim, rain, wind and the coldest weather in Central Florida was experienced. Before the new roof was installed, we questioned the advisability of installing the shingles since we suspected they had been damaged by the prolonged exposure to the elements. Solar Bear assured us that the shingles were good. A subsequent gutter inspection failed and Solar Bear recommended replacement with new gutters. During the removal of our old gutters, the Solar Bear crew damaged our fascia panel, exposing our attic to the elements and to small animals such as rats, squirrels. The Roof Bear installers arrived early and immediately went to work. They worked diligently until a problem arose—some of the panels were not the correct work, so they had to leave the job until the new panels arrived. When the new panels arrived, they again arrived early and finished the installation! They made sure that the site was cleaned up before they left! Steve, the site manager, was very helpful and answered all our questions. David, Sales Manager, was very professional and pleasant when he wrote the contract for our metal roof.
