CONSUMER ALERT! AVOID Bertie Heating & Air. After 17 years of being a loyal customer, I found I was being price gouged and was treated disrespectfully by Jim Bertie. He actually raised his voice and hung up the phone on me! Really? I gathered up my bills and documentation and drove to Bertie’s office. I was told I never called the office yet I was able to provide call documentation from Cox of the call I placed to their office. Didn’t seem to make any difference. After being told Jim was not in his office, Brenda took my documentation and assured me they would contact me. When I left the office I returned to retrieve something left behind, Brenda & another employee were smirking. No return contact. This business needs training on good business practices 101. NEVER will I deal with this underhanded company again. So much for loyalty. Save yourself the headache and deal with Burkhalter, Bounds, or Mid-Florida Heating & Air. They actually have 24/7 service which Bertie claims

Two separate technicians came out for different jobs. Both were timely, knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. Price was fair. We will definitely use them again in the future.

I am a caregiver. One of my clients AC went out. They came out and was very kind to my confused dementia client. They took the time to explain what they were doing. They corrinated with my boss and the family when they could get this done and gave a reasonable quote. On the day of installation it went smoothly.
