We got several estimates and theirs was the highest. But salesperson called a couple of times trying to make the sale. On the phone, I told salesperson that I was waiting for someone from another company to confirm with his boss on a lower price. Salesperson offered to go down within $500 to what the other company was trying to get approved. I told him I would let him know the following day. He said to inform him if the other company comes in at the lower price and he will try to match it. I told him I wouldn't do that because it wouldn't be fair to the other company. That's when he told me that you would go ahead and proceed at the lower price. So, I told him he had a deal. He said that he would file for the permits online that night. The next morning he calls me back to tell me his boss would not allow him to proceed at the agreed to amount and couldn't even do it at the other amount that he tried to have me agree to. We cannot recommend this company. After our house sustained significant damage from Hurricane Michael in October 2018, we contracted with E-Z to restore our home. They completed some of the work, received a hefty chunk of insurance money, then abandoned our contract. Twenty-two months later, we are still contending with an unfinished house that does not meet some of the building code requirements and the continuing consequences of their subcontractors' substandard workmanship: incomplete insulation, an improperly vented gas fireplace, inadequate attic access, and 15 growing cracks in the ceilings they installed. Be aware of what you signed, the verbal explanation does not reflect what is on the paper, they over price your insurance company by a lot, plus your deductible thank you.
