R J Owens Roofing Contractors

I contracted with RJ Owens in August to replace my roof. The quote stated that they would be replacing any and ALL rotted wood. They performed the job and I paid them over $19,000. During Hurricane Milton, soffits came off and the wood beneath is totally rotten. I reached out to Johnny to see if they would remedy it. He said that if the wood was rotten, it would have been replaced and the roof would not have held during the storm. But the wood is absolutely rotten. Beware.

Roof install went well, cleaned up decently well afterwards with some nails remaining as expected I suppose. Unfortunately the installers reinstalled our newer gutters very poorly - uneven and lower than the downspout. After looking closer, extra hardware not reinstalled was sitting in the gutter itself. After they revisited to attempt to fix the gutter the solution was to use a nail gun to add additional and unnecessary holes in the gutter. After a discussion with Richard it was deemed this was as good as they could do, and to have the gutter installer provide a quote to repair. Quote was received which was for replacement due to the additional nails used, though have not received a follow up or return call after providing the quote and calling in requesting a callback. Seems as though use of their services will have additional unexpected costs. EDIT: have received confirmation that Gutters will be repaired as needed. Service: Roof installation
