Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the new motor that was installed in my Carrier unit now has connection and ground wires sticking out of top and attached to the bolts above the fan grate. I was told that was so they don't catch on the fan blades, but it didn't have that problem before with the original motor which makes me wonder about the quality of the motor or if there is something wrong. ALSO, the caps for the screws that came with the compressor were not put back on, just basic nuts that came with the new motor. I'm not sure why, and it might sound silly, but it bothers me that they were taken and not left with me. And keep in mind, I stayed outside the whole time to make sure there weren't any problems. We have been using Cool Today for at least 7 or 8 years. We have always been amazed at their consistency to show up on time for scheduled maintenance and very accommodating when we have had 1 or 2 "urgent" situations that required immediate service attention. I know a few neighbors that "take a pass" on signing up for an annual service contract... and then complain when they have to wait 2-3 or more days when their system has a service problem. We have always been impressed with every technician that has serviced our system with their professional approach and friendliness. Sure, an annual contract may cost a little more, but how valuable is your comfort...or do you prefer to sit at home, with the indoor temperature at 92-degrees and you "hope" that the seventh AC service company you called will actually show up by Wednesday afternoon and today is only Monday.
This is how their "trained and skilled" installers left my house after we paid $14,000 for a new a/c system. Gave them 2 chances to fix this issue before posting this but I'm still waiting for the 2 call backs from a week ago. Great job guys ???????? Service: Installation
