Not going to name the tech, seemed nice enough. So, I called for service due to my outside compressor not turning on. Tech showed 20 min past the 10 to 2 time frame, not a big deal. Tech was informed of the issues I was having. After his very short diagnostic, I was told the board was dead, the new one was $1500 and about 6 weeks to get a replacement. He suggested replacing the A/C system due to it being 8 -10 years old and he could get one installed in a few days for $11k. So, instead of buying a $1500 board, that money can be used for a new system. Sounds good, huh? To me, the tech was way too fast for a full diagnostic service, and too eager to sell me a new unit. Something felt off. So, rule of thumb is always get a second opinion. So, I called another well known company, and after a 45 minute diagnostic, turns out it needed a fuse and a new contactor switch for only $400.00. Not $1500 or what could of been $11k! Whew!! The technician was knowledgeable, polite and very professional. He quickly diagnosed and corrected the issue with my system. I would give a five star review were it not for the cost of the “covered under warranty” part on a system installed only three years ago. Even after waiving the cost of the service call I still ended up having to pay over $500 for a defective control module. Service: HVAC system repair
