Handyman Connection of Winter Park

We hired Handyman Connection to do some repairs on a couple of doors. Their technician, George Whittaker, was excellent. He went to great lengths to make sure the job was done to our satisfaction. This is the second time I've used Handyman Connection. I won't use anybody else.

Beware: this company took my deposit and after a day of work of a 3-4 day job, stated “breach of contract” and is retaining my deposit and not completing the job. These are the facts: Hired to pressure wash, clean, sand and stain exterior wood decking. Negated to proceed originally because they required a 40% deposit on a job that is 96% all labor, with the exception of 2 pieces of wood. Ultimately agreed on a 25% deposit and moved forward, although I did mention after we agreed to the 25%, that I would even provide the other 15% on the first day of the job, if they needed it…as a kind gesture, not really thinking they would even take me up on it. They came to do the job. After day 1, called me to collect the additional 15%, caught me at a busy time, I questioned why they were so desperate for the additional 15% and was super busy when they called, so asked they call back. I had a counter top,sink, and faucet replaced in the kitchen. John did an awesome job. He was professional from the time he gave me the estimate to the time he finished the installation. He was flexible with scheduling and showed up on time. Very happy and will be using the company for other projects and requesting John. Service: Installation
