Augusta Roofing and Siding

Had two separate contractors do the work and estimate so it didn't seem like the one who conducted the work could be completely prepared for the job. He replaced one side of flashing when I was told he would replace all three sides. After the job, he left without notifying me. The contractor, James, and Will from Augusta Roofing and Siding called me 6 times between 8 and 10 pm on a Tuesday night and left 2 voicemails and a text message while I was trying to sleep in order to collect payment. When I called them the next morning, they said I could not pay with check and wanted me to pay credit/debit over the phone. I said I wasn't comfortable passing that info via phone so I had Will come to my house after work. When he showed up I had my debit card ready and he said, "Oh, I thought you were paying with check. The work, I imagine, was good. Time will tell, but they have good reviews. They tried to make the process easy by inspecting while we were at work. The problem is, they jumped the gun on actually doing the repairs. When they gave me the results of their inspection, recommended repairs and estimate, I told them it sounded good but I needed to talk to my wife first to make sure we're on the same page and ready to have the work done. I was told I'd be getting a call to schedule the repairs. My wife and I spoke and decided we weren't going to have the repairs done. The next phone call I got was them telling me they'd done the repairs and wanted to collect the payment. When reminded that I'd said I need to talk with my wife first, they actually told me that doesn't mean we weren't ready to have the work done. I beg to differ. Siding was needing repair and storm damaged. We called the best company in town to do the repair. We talked Will and he made sure we were taken care of.
