Santa Fe Air Conditioning & Heating

I've used Santa Fe for years and in the past rated 5 stars and recommended them to others, but have had bad experience with them recently. Over the prior 12 months... Sep 2021 - Technician noted blower capacitor was measuring borderline and recommended replacement for $100+ and could do it same day in 10 minutes. I ordered the exact same part for $9 online and installed it myself in about 15 minutes. I know they've got to make a profit, but that seems excessive. May 2022 - Seasonal service at my Dad's house and he noted AC was cooling poorly. They inspected the system and couldn't do anything, recommended calling an electrician to check the wiring and then call them back. We paid to have an electrician come out, inspect the wiring and find nothing wrong. Santa Fe came back out and then determined the AC compressor failed. They ordered the part and another crew came back out to install it. That crew wasn't able to do the rest of the spring inspection / service and said they just did in

Very happy with my install - full HVAC replacement. The guys were on time and very professional and respectful. They used floor coverings to protect the carpet, and wore booties to avoid tracking in dirt. The install was fast (less than 8 hours start to finish) and they left nothing behind. There was no mess.
