Update: Contacted Allison (Manager) and was able to get everything worked out. Turns out unit was 26 years old and really needed to change compressor out anyway due to age. They agreed to refund the $760 since I am buying a new unit. Had some "miscommunication" on the techs part, but he is young and still learning - he apologized and is a straight up young man. The response by Allison and her team is the old Barry's I am used to dealing with. Thanks again Allison. Used Barry's several over last several years. Service was good and prices reasonable. Called them out this week for A/C. Outdoor compressor fan failure. Tech said "$150 for service call and about $200 for fan." At the end of repair bill came in at $765!!! This was for maybe 1 hour of work and less than $100 in parts. Called main office only to be told "we charge fixed prices (not labor and materials) and everything is going up." Will not use them again. Make sure any estimate is in writing. Service: A/C system
