Bartlett & Steadman Plumbing, Heating & AC

We’ve been big fans of Bartlett & Steadman for many years. Our house is a fairly typical 1920s home: lots of repairs, upgrades, etc over the years. B&S’s work is my platinum standard compared with just about ever other plumbing/heating vendor we’ve hired (or who may have been indirectly hired by the contractor overseeing certain major renovations we’ve made.) B&S isn’t ‘cheap’ but their fees are fair and competitive—especially when considering their equally excellent support of any work they’ve done.. This most recent service call, with Kyle and Elise, is just such an example. Our gas fireplace began malfunctioning in December. First service call was only temporarily successful as the unit began malfunctioning shortly afterwards. A call to B&S was met not with any resistance or excuses but rather an apology and a speedy follow-up visit. Always prompt, friendly, professional. Getting a plumber the same day or next day is amazing. I’ve worked with a few different employees at various times and they’re all happy to explain what they’re doing and what my options are for fixes. They’re not cheap, but it doesn’t feel like you’re being taken for a ride on price - I’ve been told when relevant that the best option is to order a simple replacement part myself because it’s more affordable. They always wear shoe covers when coming from outside which is very helpful for keeping the floors clean. I don’t expect to ever need to call another plumbing company. I’d recommend them to anyone. Plumbing is not cheap but good work is as good as gold. Can't say enough good about Mike B. who came over to do some small jobs. He was personable, professional, extremely competent and quick. Nice to watch a local guy who knows his work and loves his job. I would call Steadman again for any future jobs. Services: Faucet repair, Plumbing pipe repair
