Kevin Williams and his crew were fantastic. Kevin is prompt, professional, and honest. After a few slate roofing companies told me I needed to replace my whole roof, Kevin said this was a waste and totally unnecessary, and quoted me for limited slate repairs and replacing valleys and dormers with copper. His quote was extremely reasonable and he answered all my follow up questions quickly. When it came time to do the work, he was on time and his crew was clean and professional. He’s a good guy who hires good guys. They finished the work in three days and I didn’t see a single tool or scrap of material when they were done. We finally used Kevin Williams Jr, who diagnosed the leak accurately and fixed it so that the problem has disappeared. I've been using Historical Slate Roofing since ~2015, when the snowpocalypse was causing ice dams on multiple houses on our street. They went up to shovel excess snow off, and then we had them back to inspect the roof, install snow guards (to stop the snow from sliding off dangerously), ice/water shield, seal/repair the gutters, and install a new rubber roof for a flat area. We've since had them out to replace the deteriorated ridge cap, and every 2-3 years when high winds knock the odd slate off. The owner, Kevin, is a nice guy, and knows what he is talking about. He's very responsive, and is happy to explain things to customers. He'll even send you photos of the work if you want (I've attached a few). The prices seem very fair for the work being done.
