Shipley Plumbing Heating Cooling

I had a service call for a plumbing installation and a A/C "check up" to make sure the system was working properly. I'll address the plumbing first. A service call is $75. The service technician installed a kitchen faucet and a glass rinser which I purchased on my own. I was charged $593.00 for about 45 minutes worth of work to install the 2 items. I even helped the technician by holding the faucet in place while he tightened it. In my opinion, this was grossly overpriced for this type of job. The same day, I had a technician come out to inspect my A/C units. The service call for this is $130. I have 2 units so the total price was $260. I ended up needing a "capacitor" which I had to purchase through their company. The "capacitor" cost approximately $25, (If purchased on the internet). I was charged $208.00 for the part which took about 10 minutes to install. My total bill for the day was $1,136.00. I believe the markup to be borderline criminal, I will be contacting the

My review is in two parts. First, the team of Bryan and Bob who came to my home to install a bathroom faucet and shower fixtures was great.  Very professional, cordial and friendly team.  I thought they were wonderful people. Second, I was very disappointed in the Shipley company and will never use them again. After setting my initial appointment date, they called me to cancel and reschedule.  I said fine, even though it was a nuisance.  Then they called me again and told me that they had to cancel and reschedule. They said they were busy with other projects.  Really??  They finally arrived on my third appointment date. (I later learned that they give priority to customers under annual contracts, and as a new customer, I obviously did not have a contract with them). My issue is not with the two techs they sent out.  They are great guys who are very knowledgeable.  My issue is with Shipley.  After they installed my bathroom fixtures, I asked for two other estimates.
