I had an old water heater that kicked the bucket, and Josh Gallano from Saffer came promptly to assess the situation and got us a new water heater that same day. He offered detailed information on what was going on, gave multiple options, and it never felt like he was trying to oversell me on anything. Jason did my "Safer With Saffer Club" plumbing and electrical inspection and was extremely knowledgeable, very personable and was very willing to share information about the inspection. I asked Jason to give me an estimate to replace a toilet with a specific Gerber model, and we also set up a tentative date for the installation. Several days later, Shawn from "parts supply" (?) called to tell me the local distributor was not carrying the specific Gerber toilet model because it was a new model and the distributor wanted to sell his inventory of old models before he ordered the new model. Shawn advised that if I still wanted the new model Gerber toilet he would order it directly from Gerber, but there would be a shipping charge. I felt the shipping charge was reasonable, and since I still wanted the specific new model, I agreed to pay the shipping, and Shawn immediately sent an updated proposal and explained how long the shipping would take . I had Saffer fix a toilet issue and problem solve gurgling from my pipes. Josh was very professional, quick, and able to provide info as to what was happening. I do think their pricing is above average, but in return, you get high-end quality work and technicians very experienced with Baltimore row homes like mine that are 125+ years old. That's definitely a comfort for me. They are someone I would trust for emergency work, and my only critique would be to get a second quote before non-emergencies to double check on price.
