The owner (Walt) was troubleshooting my Generac generator. VERY incompetent technician (Please don't hire him). I couldn't start Generac generator. Walt recommended replacing the starter. His technicians replaced the starter in a few days. Did not fix the problem (so far I am out almost $575). Next he recommend replacing the "Control board" (without doing any test at all), which costed me additional $696 (he wants to be paid in advanced). He replaced the "Control board" , that did not work either. At this time he blamed the battery, which was 2 months old (and I told him so) for the problem. By this time I was out $1,271, and I still could not start my generator. More importantly, he would not answer my calls and would not return my messages. I hired another company, they identified the problem to be bad battery connection. Fixed it in a few minutes- DONE. WHAT A DRAMA WITH MEYER ELECTRICAL SERVICES. Meyer Electrical Service, Inc did a heavy up, replacing electrical cables coming into my home along with the a new circuit breaker box and new circuit breakers as well as adding a surge protector. They were competent, responsive, neat, efficient, used quality components and all for a very reasonable price. The company gave me an arrival time range of 8am-9:30 am. At 7:54 the company, unilaterally and without explanation, gave me a new arrival range of 11:30am-1:00pm. No one arrived during that range, and I was not notified of a change or given an explanation. A workman did arrive shortly before 4:00pm. without explaining the late arrival or offering an apology. The workman then spent one-half hour troubleshooting, and told me he could not find the problem. He then left, after charging me $175. I now have to hire a reliable and courteous company. I may be told the problem can't be found, but I can't rely on Meyer Electrical Service's assessment now. Service: General repairs
