Ken Griffin Plumbing Services, Inc.

We’ve used Ken Griffin plumbing for the last 8 years for many things: well pump replacement (2021), tankless hot water heater (2016?), well holding tank (2014) and other small plumbing work. Last night (4/14/23) our well pump stopped working so I called them first thing in the morning because they were the company that did the original work. Having paid over $2k to have the well pump replaced less than two years ago I was expecting them to come out and fix their work. The tech on call said he did not know how to work on well pumps and could come out for $300 but likely not fix the problem. Meanwhile, I have not water pressure in my home. I know Ken and Kathy have sold the business and, unfortunately, I think the quality of the service has become very poor. Ken Griffin may be okay for small jobs but I would not consider using them for any major plumbing work.

We are extremely unhappy with this company, as they appear not stand by their workmanship or product(s). We used Ken Griffen Plumbing Services in March 2022 to replace the sump pump in our basement ($1300+). This “new” sump pump stopped working over the weekend (May 2023), 14 months after it was installed. Called Ken Griffin Plumbing Services to let them know of the problem and had them come back out to repair. They came to the house and told us that that the pump/wire was broken and we had two choices: pay for a new sump pump/install or have them take the sump pump out and send it back to the manufacturer for repair. The better response would have been for Ken Griffin Plumbing Services to replace the pump and send the defective one back to the manufacturer for repair, however they would not do that because their 1 year warranty had passed. They did offer us $50 towards a new sump pump. We are now without a working bathroom in our basement. Service: Sump pump installation

We called Griffin for help with a leaky outside faucet. Derrick Wallace resolved the problem, explained what was causing the issue, and suggested ways to protect the house from leaking in the future. He was professionally personable and patient with our questions. We think the fee was fair for today's market considering the time involved and the quality of service.
