ARS/Rescue Rooter Heating, Cooling, & Water Heaters

They figured out the problem in 30s. Busted capacitor. Said they didn't have the part in the van. Drive around town trying to get the part for over 1h. Install and verify in <5m. Charged me labor for all the wasted time, O on top of the diagnostic fee... For a fairly basic first check part when they installed the system they should have sent the tech prepared. After having been lied to by the sales rep about the initial install being tax deductible my opinion of ARS continues to sink. The tech was nice and professional.

Let me start off this review by saying they started off great like Bobby and Whitney but we all know how that ended. I’m going to say it like this stay away from ARS unless they are the only option you have because I have never seen such poor work done by technicians. Our unit was working beautiful for two years and yes it is paid off….praise him. After one service call, we started receiving the RC wire error, so upon looking up the error from the Google nest, you realize it could be something with the wiring or could be the nest itself. However, as fate would have it due to the many recent storms, our unit took a hit which caused the control board to die. So of course we call ARS schedule a technician to come out and see what the issue is and of course it is the control board in true “we outsource to every other place fashion” we had to wait on the control board to arrive. Joseph Paine, Sorry if I misspelled your name. Joseph is first rate A/C top of the line service tech. He was polite and informative from start to finish and that is rare. He checked absolutely everything on the heat pump, from the thermostat to the wiring, to the Freon. Before he left he tightened down all the nuts and bolts on the heat pump and on the air handle, and he checked the air filter which we changed. Service: A/C system maintenance
