When the slate roof of my 1946 brick colonial in DC started leaking, all the roofing companies I called recommended that it be replaced. But Edwin of Durable Slate, who carefully looked at (and walked the length of the roof) said that with repairs, the roof could last another ten to twenty years. The repairs were done in Dec. of 2021 by Jose and Melvin. Four months have gone by, with lots of heavy rain, but no leaks! It's hard these days to find a roofer who specializes in slate.
