McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning

I called in McCrea to help treat a clogged condensate drain pipe. The diagnostic is something I had to for formality. After the diagnostics , two thing upset me. 1. The technician failed to educate me or even try how I could save money by perhaps signing up for a warranty service, etc and waive the diagnostic fee. 2. This is more directed at the company. I absolutely hated the fact that I had to pay for diagnostic fee, even if I wanted to buy some services. For comparison, I shopped around with another smaller competition and they were much better. They waive the diagnostic fee, the technician educated me how I could avoid this problems in future, without even me asking. When I asked McCrea's technician about some things, he responded in condescending manner, as if his knowledge was billable and exclusive as that of a lawyer. I will not be recommend McCrea.

I selected all the attributes because this company presented itself with extreme knowledge about what HVAC system was appropriate for our home and HVAC useage. They did not try to sell us a system we did not need. The installers was polite and I enjoyed their professionalism! Great job McCrae! You owe that team a pat on the back! V/R Mike and Chae

McCrea was the installer for my mom’s new home and has been on an annual maintenance program with them for three years since it was brand new. She was told her service contract would prioritize her in the event of a service call. Her unit stopped cooling and was blowing warm air for the last 24 hours. Given the area is under severe heat the service calls we’re getting overwhelmed from all HVAC companies. However my mom called and left a message with after hours for an emergency service around 7am today. She’s in a 55+ community and is in her 70’s. She was told someone would reach out about the service call later today. Around 1pm she called and they had no record of her being in need of service. And told her she would have to wait 5 days until they could get to her again. Or to call Saturday morning for after hours emergencies. Remind you that she pays a premium for their annual service contract and this is how they treated her for emergency service. We called Arundel Cooling & Heatin
