What was supposed to be a typical furnace maintenance ended up being a complete and catastrophic nightmare. We had them come and service our furnace. They ended up over pressuring our oil line and broke the line, creating our basement to be flooded by heating oil. We called them back once we realized what had happened and the owner came out, verbally claimed responsibility. He said he would call EPA to report the leak (he legally had to do this within 2 hours of the spill) . He ended up not doing it until the next morning!!! Meanwhile we called the fire department and had to have ourselves and our 4 young kids sleep in a tent that night. EPA spent well over 2 weeks mitigating the spill and tearing out rugs, drywall and even studs. Now meuller is claiming no responsibility after confirming that it was their fault on multiple occasions. I understand mistakes happen, but at least do the right thing and own it. Terrible customer service and lack of communication between the owner Kurt Muller and his office. Kurt came out to look at my furnace on a Friday. He told me he did not have time to do the job that day, but would come back next week if I had any availability. He did a quick/temporary fix so we would have heat on out first floor. Unfortunately I’ve been calling his office to try to schedule the repair for over a week and a half and have been told Kurt never turned in a ticket so they cannot schedule me yet as they do not know how long to schedule the appt for. I told his office that Kurt told me the job would take 2-4 hours and they still would not schedule me. The worst part is the temporary fix has had my furnace running almost constantly and my house is so hot I’ve had to keep windows open in almost every room at all times. I do not dare to turn my furnace off as I’m afraid it will not start back up which has happened before. I’m burning through oil like crazy and my house is a sauna
