STAY AWAY from Peaks Construction for gutter installation. Their primary gutter installer, Matt, has no idea what he is doing and takes the easy way out for repairs, not the correct way. On both occasions when Matt came to re-slope the gutter, he said something like “I shouldn’t have to do it this way’, but did it that way anyway, still leaving a problem and left it looking like a complete amateur job. On the first visit he even damage/cut the drip edge to raise the gutter higher than it should have been (Matt's words). On several occasions I talked to Brad and he said he would come out to look at the problem and would consider re-running the gutter, but that never happened. There was no response to the last call for service. What makes this situation worse is that even as they were addressing a roof problem (installed by Peaks) a neighbor came by asking them for a estimate on work, I gave Peaks raving recommendation and they got the job. Peaks Construction was wonderful, they are true craftsman that take pride in their work. Bob ran our basement construction, and the project was on time and under budget. They also came back twice to repair the basement after flooding issues (unrelated to their work). My favorite aspect of peaks construction is the knowledge they shared with me during the project. They felt like a true partner during the construction, and helped me learn about aspects that I was not familiar with. They have high integrity, and are a very honest group of people. The owners have been in construction in the Michigan area for their entire lives, and they know all the best places to source material, but will also work with your suppliers if you want. I hired Peaks Construction to build a 5 x 10 deck from my back door to my pool patio. The owner came out himself to look at the job and give me a quote. Thier quote was the best out of 4 other quotes. When hired the communication between me and thier office was excellent. I had a few coordination issues with other services and Peaks had no problems pushing the job back. 2 men arrived to do the job and the boss and his manager stopped by periodically to inspect the work. The job was completed in a very timely manner and they have been out several times after to replace pieces that have warped. After working with several contractors on pool it was refreshing to work with one that actually called you back! I highly recommend Peaks Construction
