I hired 1800 Hanson to replace my windows for 18K. First, they were late 2 months. Then, Hansons sent me sub-contractors to do the installation without any uniform or sign on the truck to show affiliation to Hansons. After the installation was done, I noticed the followings: - Many metal screws were added to the frame of windows that are not part of the design and look ugly - The team did damage my bathroom door - Screen door bent and damaged - Couple windows don't lock When done, Then the subcontractor asked me to pay the remaining balance 13K which I refused until all above issues are taken care of, and Hanson gives me an invoice and my warranty. Then they started being unprofessional saying Hanson is just the salesperson and they are the ones that did the job, and I should pay immediately. I kept refusing and they left. I had a bad experience with Hansons 2 years ago with my windows. I needed my siding done this year and they had the best price that I could afford. This experience was worse than the last time. First the guy started doing my siding and didn't have a dumpster. So I had all this garage on my lawn for almost a week. He was supposed to use my same soffit and gutters. He ended up throwing my gutters away. He covered up my attic air flow vents and took my side fence off to get to the backyard and left it off when the job was done. Which ended up falling against the house and damaging the new trim. I called Hansons to tell them all my issues and sent pictures. The first phone call the seemed very concerned and said someone would call me back and discuss it with me to fix it within 48 hours. I WOULD GIVE THIS COMPANY ZERO STARS IF I COULD. UPDATE!!! It is now 9 months later and this company is still working on installing these windows correctly. Wind coming in from every window and according to their employees I didn’t close the windows properly. I didn’t even have a chance to open them after they installed them. It was too cold to open the windows. ***UPDATE***2 months later screen door came in but the door handle was wrong.
