Jake The Plumber

I had a fairly urgent leak in a pipe from my boiler to a radiator. Jake himself came to my house the same day I called and repaired the leak quickly and corrected a previously bad installation. He explained everything so I could understand the issue, what was needed to correct it and also gave me many tips on maintenance. He was professional and thorough. I highly recommend Jake and his team for any plumbing work needed. Thanks, Jake!

I chose Jake the Plumber simply because I saw one of their vans at our neighbor's house a couple weeks before. I believe our plumber's name was Rick. He was incredibly professional and personable. We had a drippy old spigot and the shut off valve to the outside water was also dripping in my basement. He explained to me exactly what he was going to do, discussed potential issues that may come up in the process, and in the end, delivered on his promises in a very timely manner. His work was super clean, my problem was solved, and I was better educated by the time he left. Also, the new spigot is much better than the one I had before. I would hire them again without hesitation!!

Sent them email in early April to obtain a quote for some really basic work that needed done—dishwasher hookup, farmhouse sink hookup, gas line connection for new cooktop and running line to connect an ice maker (newly remodeled kitchen). Provided images with demarcation to make it super easy. No response. Called the office after a week to see if they got my email and to verify I sent it to the correct address. They were to get back to me but never did. I gave up and hired someone else. I get it, contractors are super busy right now and demand is high. But you have to be responsive and communicative. I generally like to support smaller, local business but they’re too busy for me. Found another plumber who was able to do the work and I’m hiring him for more stuff this summer. He was incredibly busy too but he returns calls and communicates.
