Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We could not be happier with this company. They arrived within an hour of our call for our flooded basement. Andrew, the drain fixer, was friendly and just fun, making a tense worrisome situation feel so much better. He explained everything, and was done in well under an hour, which was much faster than I had anticipated. Roto rooter also sent out a water damage assessor; happily, we didn’t have much permanent damage; just a few area rugs. I’d recommend them to anyone. The repairman was good, but the charge was ridiculous. We had a leak in our water main shut off valve so I had to turn off the water in the house. I called the City and they had someone from public works there at the same time the plumber was there to shut off the water main so the repair could be done. They told me the repair would be $960 dollars. I thought this was way to high so I questioned it. They said it’s a flat fee for down time for waiting for city to shut water off. I said but you don’t have to wait for the city, they are already here. He said if it doesn’t take long maybe he can give me a break on the price. So it was either pay the fee and hope I get a break since I did the work of getting the city there so he didn’t have to wait or got without water and still pay $100 to have them come out and try and have city come out again to meet another company. I agreed to have the plumber from Roto Rooter fix it. It took 20 minutes for the repair. I thought no way they will charge
