Merlo Plumbing Co Inc

We have used Merlo plumbing for years and have been fairly satisfied with their service. However, last week, they literally averted a disaster. I was called by my housekeeper who told me a pipe had burst in front of our house while I was at work. I immediately called Missouri American Water service and placed an emergency order to come shut off our water. Right afterwards, I called Merlo Plumbing and placed an emergent work order to come to the house and repair the broken pipe. They told me they would have a serviceman there in an hour. I raced home and true to their word, a serviceman met me in the driveway. He saw how much water was coming up from the ground (it was almost as if a hydrant had burst) and literally ran around our front yard looking for the water shut off as Missouri American Water had not yet arrived. His name was Tony. Realizing it was from the irrigation system (which was supposed to be closed ) he went out and found the main shut off to our house and averted a major

Paid for replacement of diverter on shower, never worked, tried to get service to come out and replace. Service manager never got replacement part. I order it from Amazon and had Hoffman Brothers replace. Extremely poor service Service: Shower repair

Installed water heater and updated much of the galvanized steel pipe work (100 year old property) in a timely fashion. Worked with both Matt and Doug, easy to communicate with both. Integrity in their work; could have updated more, but they advised not to spend too much money until a direct need arises. Reasonable pricing and will be using them in the future for plumbing needs! Doug Back out Feb. 2022. Was on time , only took about 6 hours what we expected to be 8 in changing shower components, pipes, and a toilet. Old toilet didn't have a shut off valve, so provided a long term valve replacement that avoids having to dig into walls to replace galvanized steel pipes (again old house problems) that would cost us more money & hassles!
