Ricardo was hired to wallpaper a half bath for us. He showed up on the appointed time to review the project and give me an estimate. He reviewed the condition of the walls and allegedly the height of the ceiling. He did not measure the square footage of the room as well. I found this to be rather odd but figured he knew what he was doing. Upon completion of the estimate, I asked him how many rolls of wallpaper would be needed to complete the job. He said two double rolls, so that is what we purchased. Upon arrival for the job, Ricardo asked to borrow a pair of scissors to cut the paper. That should have been the point where we cut him off from providing the service. He proceeded to start the job and half way through said we needed three more rolls of paper because the ceiling height was nine feet, not eight.
