Nichols Plumbing & Piping

I don't know how this company gets chosen to work with warranty companies. The warranty company for the home that we rent contacted Nichols Plumbing and a technician was sent to my home. He arrived, was pleasant, did what he was supposed to, but had to return the next day with fuses they normally don't carry (I have an old, tankless water heater...). That's fine. He then determined that it was the heating element going bad, which again, they do not carry locally. A week passed by, leaving myself and my three young children without hot water. When I call the warranty company, the required report from the technician was never given to them and replacement parts, which needed to be ordered direct from the manufacturer, could not be ordered without that. The real estate company, the warranty company, and I have been trying for hours to reach Nichols Plumbing and out of three of us, no one has received an answer or a callback. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. We were out of water for three days and our warranty company dispatched this plumbing company to fix the water. They told me the earliest they could come was 2 days later between 1-5pm. After two days of not being able to flush toilets, use water, or even shower with two toddlers and dirty diapers, Nichols NEVER SHOWED UP at the allotted time. Even after I called an hour before to confirm! They confirmed and then were completely MIA. I called their emergency line. NO RESPONSE. I called my warranty company and they dispatched another plumbing company. After 5 days without water, I literally wish I could sue this company for the ridiculousness we've been through. I honestly will go to great lengths to make sure that the BBB knows about this. They aren't customer-friendly, professional, or even good. As far as I'm concerned, they should be out of business.

"your dependable plumber" is anything but dependable. Our appointment time was scheduled for 2-5 pm. Nichols showed up to our house hours early, when nobody was home! They left a note on the door, and when we attempted to contact the company to see why they showed up hours early, nobody ever returned out voicemail messages. We will no longer be doing business with this company. I will make sure our home warranty puts a permanent "do not assign" on our file.
