Quality Service Today Plumbing & Septic

First, I would like to say that the staff who answers their phones are very friendly. They also dispatched a technician same day. I cannot knock them there. However, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service I received from this company. I had a hot water heater leak from my attic. I had a restoration company assess the situation and I was referred to this company. Their experienced technician of 10 years, Matthew, evaluated my hot water heater, that is 4.5 years old. Upon his diagnosis he indicated that 3 parts had failed on our hot water heater- the t&p valve, expansion tank and water pressure regulator. I immediately asked Matthew if this was any indication that the tank had gone bad. He replied, that there was nothing wrong with the actual tank. I told him that in my experience, hot water heaters usually continue to have issues and that I would likely replace the tank. We called Quality Service Today with a burst pipe, which meant we had no running water in our home. They took advantage of the fact that we obviously wanted to restore our water service asap. They charged us an unreasonable rate for doing minimal work and kept trying to push unnecessary services, including a total replacement of our outdoor pipes for more than $10K. When we realized that we were being taken advantage of and told them we wouldn’t be using them to do the repairs, the manager was extremely rude to us. Ultimately, we got other quotes and hired someone else to do the job. This confirmed our suspicions that Quality Service Today’s prices were exponentially more than what other plumbers charged to fix the issue. Our experience with Quality Service Today was that they looked for any opportunity to price gouge us and were completely unreasonable when we called to figure out a fair, mutually agreeable rate for the work that was done.
