Last week when the temperature hit 80 we went to turn on the AC on our heat pump. To find the in house temperature just kept raising in the house. Called Service One, the repairman was here well over an hour doing testing to get it running. He even called somebody for additional ideas. At this time both were on overtime. They did every test they could think of to get the heat pump running. They finally said that the condenser needed to be replaced. The repairman answered all of my questions about replacing the condenser vs installing a new heat pump. I decided to replace the heat pump since the heat pump was mfg 2008. The following Wednesday the heat pump was scheduled to be installed. The installers arrived on time went to work taking out the old heat pump to install the new heat pump. They worked diligently to install the new heat pump with no questions asked after I showed them where the thermostat, furnace and heat pump could be found. We are very happy with Service One. S

I would highly NOT recommend Service1 for a Home Warranty Solution. I would save your money to use towards a repair/replacement. We had a lower freezer drawer not seal correctly. A tech came out and said the rails would need to be replaced. He left and the issue was worse and our freezer was not usable. After 2 weeks (with NO freezer), I tried contacting them as to what next steps were. They said the part was on order and there was no ETA. After I made a quick call to the manufacturer I was able to find out the part was no longer available. Service1 still claimed they were waiting on the part. Another week goes by and no update. I had to call in AGAIN to find out next steps. In short - they would not repair or replace the freezer/fridge unit. READ anything you sign in detail. Their website makes it sound like they will replace appliances if they break but there are all kinds of loopholes they will use to get out of a replacement. We had Service One out to perform maintenance to our ac and furnace. This was the annual check. The Serviceman did a great job communicating to us and was very thorough and professional. We purchased a new furnace and air conditioner from Service One sometime ago.
