Very knowledgeable, professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. Two days ago, on Monday morning, Our 14-year-old 75 gallon natural gas hot water heater (Rheem 42V75F) cracked. Because our go-to plumber has retired, I started googling for a new plumber and possible replacement water heater models. Someone who we really trusted about these matters (ie. husband was an engineer for large skyscrapers in NYC) and who only hired reliable and knowledgeable professionals to work in their own home, recommended a firm called "Black Dog". I found other good-sounding firms in the area, but this tipped the scales for BD. I'm very glad that I called Black Dog. I spoke to Richard, the owner of Black Dog. As requested, I texted him pictures of our broken unit, and he texted me back a price quote. The quote was great, and their replacement Rheem Professional 75G unit had better specs than my old unit (definitely better specs than the DIY Rheem models at HD). My family and I have been using Rick and Blackdog for the past 10 years and we won’t consider ever using anyone else. Last night (Friday, August 13), in the midst of a heat wave, our AC stopped working. It is a system that Rick and Blackdog had installed within the past 24 months. I called Rick at 8:30pm and left a message. Although it was hot, it certainly was an emergency. I didn’t expect him to get back to me until Monday at the earliest. By 8:30am on Saturday morning, Rick texted me and asked me to call him at my earliest convenience. By 10:00am, I had a tech on site and by 11:00am, my central air was up and running. That’s customer service, reliability, and going the extra mile. We are blessed to have found this company and won’t go elsewhere.
I had an emergency at my new home. Water leaking through the ceiling. Rick from Black Dog Plumbing got there right away. He was very thorough in figuring out what the problem was. He also did a great job explaining the leak and what was needed to fix it. I really like this company!
