R & R Plumbing replaced a hot water heater in my basement for me last week, did a great job, which passed inspection by the city with no problems this morning. The plumbing team were prompt, courteous, and clearly knew their business. The reason that I only give them four stars is that they came back the next day to check out some of the duct-work because there were holes in it, and they weren't sure whether or not a lot of duct-replacement work would be necessary. Happily, it was just that small section, which took literally ten minutes to replace -- and then they presented me with a bill for $148 for that little job: 2 men, 10 minutes. These were the same guys who'd told me that if the inspector demanded that they insulate the new duct work, it would take half an hour and cost $55. So no discounted rate for a follow-up visit for me, apparently, presumably because I hadn't asked for that beforehand. I paid, but I called R & R to protest the size of that second bill.
