Ambrose Electric

We purchased a 24KW Generator and transfer switch from Ambrose Electric and had them do the install the whole system. This is our second generator at our location as the 15 year old Koehler was not being supported by our local Cummins dealer and had issues since originally purchased. Ambrose did a professional job, showed up on time..did as they said they’d do ( our installation was not easy as the propane line needed to be relocated and the main heat pump needed a safety relay/module. The price was good compared to 3 other quotes we received. After installation follow up was superb. We had a issue with our electric service 5 days after they completed installation. I called them thinking it had something to do with what they did. They responded quickly and checked EVERYTHING over completely. I got estimates from three different companies for a Generac standby generator. The other two were about $50 apart, but Ambrose was about $2,000 lower than both. The Generac website has a cost estimator, and Ambrose was about $1,000 over that one. I figured that could be due to other installation costs - the Generac site made it clear that installation could be higher. Mike did the estimate for us. Nice guy and is very knowledgeable. He was always made time to answer questions when I called him. I had asked him about a UPS for my router and modem - he recommended a great product. However, I am glad I had gotten the two other estimates because I got more useful information from them about installation factors than I did from Mike. Paul, Cam, and Dom did the installation. They were polite and respectful, and completed the job quickly. They were very good about communicating when my electric would be turned off.
