I haven't used this contractor yet, but I got an estimate from him last year and he crushed the competition. He was also a really nice and informative guy, on time, explained things to me, and answered all of my concerns! I did not get the work done last year because I just continued to manually relight the pilot light, which kept going out, for the remainder of the year. However I am having him install the new furnace this year for sure! No more re-lighting the pilot light for me!
We've all heard horror stories about various companies, but as a builder I strongly recommend Metro heating for all your HVAC needs. Prompt, reliable and extremely fair pricing. Last January (2018), my furnace broke while it was about -15 Celsius outside. On the one MH&C responded quickly, made an offer, and installed the new furnace. The offer was quite overpriced but given that they were able to install the furnace within two days, I bit the bullet. Unfortunately, it took repeated email reminders and phone calls for MH&C to follow up on their promise to remove the old furnace, clean the worksite, to explain how I could apply for a tax refund (given that it was a high efficiency furnace), and to deliver a receipt. Given that I had paid upfront, this was disappointing. When the receipt arrived, it listed a thermostat that hadn't been installed (I already had one), but MH&C did not reimburse me for those costs. Upshot: the person who installed the furnace was friendly, did a great and fast job (I had not problems with the furnace since). The follow-up handling by MH&C, however, was lacking, and for that price I would have expected more.
