I needed a repair to my central AC unit, serviced thru my home owner's warranty. I waited eight days for the first company to come out who LITERALLY did nothing. I asked for a NEW company and was assigned Arctic Air. They were AWESOME! They squeezed me in in ONE day. Their tech, Brendan, was as polite and knowledgeable as anyone could have been. He completed the repair, give me a few "insider tips" and left my home spotless. This company is GREAT!!! I'll be using them in the fall for my pre-season furnace tune-up. They are amazing...
I was referred to Arctic through my Cinch home warranty. We played a little phone tag (I work odd hours and can be difficult to reach, so I don't completely hold this against them) and while there was one afternoon I was expecting a call back to schedule and never got it, when I called them the next day we were able to get a technician scheduled. Still, no callback is enough to ding one star for me. When the technician, Cameron, got here, here was nice, professional and obviously knew what he was doing. He diagnosed our issue (failed capacitor causing the fan to not spin) and had it replaced in maybe 10 minutes. He also checked out condenser unit and gave everything else a clean bill of health. Ultimately, we got our AC working again and we are now super cool. Literally. I hope to have many more years of trouble-free service from my HVAC, as it's only 7 years old, but if I do have an issue, and my warranty company sends our Arctic again, I would have no issue with it.
I had an absolutely terrible experience with this company. My Home Warranty assigned Arctic Air to repair my central air system in the summer of 2017. The warranty contract clearly stated that the plenum was to be replaced (not patched) with the replacement of an evaporator coil. The actual repair work was sloppy and incomplete, and included patching the cut ductwork rather than replacing it as the Warranty contract stated (see photos for the shoddy craftsmanship). Furthermore, they billed me for $400 for this work, which should have been covered completely by the Home Warranty. When I tried to discuss the issue on the phone, I was told my A/C unit is very old and probably would not last too much longer, so it would be a waste of THEIR time/money to replace the plenum as it would need to be done again the next year when the full replacement would be necessary. When I refused to pay the $400 for incomplete work that should have been covered by the Home Warranty anyways, I was immediatel
