Slate & Slate Roofing

In short - Slate and Slate is one of the only construction companies I have found that cares about getting the work done RIGHT (not just fast). In long - We bought our current house knowing it needed a new roof in the next couple years. We took about a year to shop around and get bids for the roof. Slate and Slate was the highest bid we got - coming in about ~20% higher than the other bids. We debated over the options. Ultimately we decided to take a risk on the higher price because; 1) slate and slate focused more on one job at a time and was willing to work with some of our special requests (like interacting with the chimney work we wanted done at the same time and helping switch out our skylights), 2) they really knew the materials and installation methods they were using and why they choose them, and most of the extra cost was due to the extra materials / care, and 3) of everyone we got a bid from, they had the longest warranty on their work and product. I had Slate and Slate install a new roof for a house I own. I appreciated their focus on the ventilation issues I was facing on this older 1050's house. They recommended a great solution for this and it looks great! I feel they used the best materials and installation techniques. I am a home inspector and see hundreds of roofs a year and so I can appreciate a job well done and the many details which make up a quality roof installation. They were able to get on the job quickly, were efficient, cleaned up after themselves and the newer gutters I had wanted to save were not damaged at all! I am very satisfied with their work and have recommended them since this time.

Recently had my roof replaced by Slate & Slate. From start to finish they did exactly what they said they’d do. Roof looks great.
