Why is it so hard to find a good hvac service? I do have an electrical background but I know nothing about HVAC. After trying to get my outdoor unit running and having no luck, I had no choice but to call around for help. I had 3 companies come out and 2 of them said sorry, you need a new system. Tech came out to trouble shoot mini spit not working. Couldn’t tell me what was wrong with it. So he said he’d try pressure testing it… “thinks it might be leaking.” Where? He doesn’t know, but maybe the compressor is also broken. Might need to buy a whole new unit bc it would be extremely expensive for him to fix it. He has to leave now, an hour was too long for him to stay I guess. Boom $300. And I’m just left right where I started. Emailed after service to see if this was normal to charge customers for basically telling them they didn’t know anything. No response. Had to pay a more professional outfit to come out and diagnose a leaking coil in 15 mins. Service: Repair HVAC
