The electrical business is fine, good work at reasonable prices. The HVAC business is a mess. They installed our new HVAC system in 2017. Two service calls over the next 10 months didn't resolve my suspicions about the system not working right. In May 2019, they performed a spring maintenance check-up. 12 days later, the outside unit started to short-cycle, and two phone calls to them resulted in zero visits over two days with the unit continuing to malfunction. A day later, 3 days after the problems began, they called and said they had no one to send to the house. No suggestions, no apologies, just we can't send anyone out there. I called another HVAC company, they came the next day and quickly diagnosed the problem, which in my opinion should have been noticed during the check-up. Needless to say, we have a different HVAC servicer now, and I'm waiting for a refund of my maintenance contract fee from Reliable. They should change their name to Un-Reliable.

After a recent home inspection, it was noted one of my breakers was not compatible with others in the fuse box. I called Reliable Electric and they sent someone out after two different schedule changes due to double booking. After the initial assessment, the technician did not have the equipment and needed to go back to the shop and return at 1230. I called him at 230 as he didn't show at 1230. He said he would come the following day when I called him back. I then received a call from the office - they said he couldn't come out until 4 days later. Additionally, to swap out a breaker, they were charging me $70 for the breaker and $127 for labor (this is a 10 minute process). I had enough of all the schedule changes and decided to pursue another company. I'm glad I did - the new company was shocked they were charging that much, they came the following day, swapped it out and charged $75. Such a shame.

I have had the pleasure of doing business with Reliable for the past five years for various electrical work and they have never disappointed. They are punctual, professional and offer their services at a fair price. In particular, their electrician Dwayne is skilled, personable, and a pleasure to have in your home.
