The repair of my 6-7year-old Platinum American Standard Heat Pump has been akin to a Chinese Fire Drill. The first technician diagnosed the problem as a deteriorated wire connecting the control panel to the thermostat. When the repair was made the suppliers help desk was unavailable to assist in reprogramming the system. The following day a new tech arrives and determines that the problem is really the thermostat. He replaces the thermostat and the system is still inoperative. It is then determined that I need a new control panel, but one has to be ordered. This is another two-day plus delay. Keep in mind that so far I have paid for a service call, a new thermostat, and a new control panel. This is in addition to the regular maintenance call that took place in May. Today’s service call presents yet another problem! I am told that I need yet another part that is not in stock, but shipping will be expedited! Services: HVAC system repair, HVAC system maintenance
