ServeStar Plumbing of Nashville

I recently had American Plumbing come to my loft in downtown Nashville to replace a faucet in my bathroom. When I phoned, I asked how much the service would cost. I was told that they would have to come to my residence, and give me an estimate. When the two plumbers came to my loft, I was told that it would cost $345 dollars. I had received a $20 discount card in the mail. It took exactly one hour and twenty minutes to replace the faucet. If my calculations are correct, that would come to $287.50 per hour. They informed me that "was the going rate." They also advised that according to their company, that was a flat rate. I asked why I was not informed of that when I phoned, their response was..they did not know. If it was a flat rate, then I should have been devised up front. I have sense that time asked around, and found that this was ridiculous, and no one would have charged such a rate for such a simple job.
