We moved to Amarillo this past year, and found a wonderful house that had been well maintained. This past week 100+ temperatures took their toll on our 9 year old A/C condenser, causing the the capacitor to give up the ghost, and some damage to the windings in the motor. We survived the night so I called PD Heating & Air (because their name was on the sticker on the unit) at 9:00 this morning, knowing full well that they were probably backed up with similar calls. The woman I spoke with on the phone took my information and confirmed that they were extremely busy, but she would try to get a technician out this afternoon or tomorrow morning at the latest. She informed me that he would call prior to coming to the house. Was I surprised when the phone rang about 11:15 and a young man named David asked if someone would be home and that he was in the neighborhood, probably 10 minutes away. I assured him that we were indeed home, and true to his word he arrived (with mask) in about 8 mi
