Service Wizard Heating & Air Conditioning

AC unit went out and called Service Wizard for replacement estimate. Excellent customer service and the technician who came to do the estimate was very personable, professional and prompt. Adam did a wonderful job walking me through my options and explained everything that needed to be done very thoroughly. I recommend this business based on this experience.

Technician that came out was courteous and reassuring, but ended up doing something to our three-year-old unit to make it less efficent. He also said the unit was dehumidifying when it was disabled. We ultimately had to hire someone else and spend more money because the drain lines were clogged, the condenser coils were dirty, no caulk around the drain lines or freon lines at the coils, no caulk around filter and furnace. So, basically, we paid double for something that should have been done correctly during the 26-point check. Can't recommend. Services: HVAC system maintenance, A/C system maintenance

Called another vendor with whom we had a service contract, before calling Service Wizard. They came and diagnosed the problem and informed us that we needed a smart valve, which they didn't have in stock, and which would have to be ordered with a 1-to-2-week delivery time. They charged me $185 for the service call and said that the parts department would call when they got the part in and see you later. This was after spending two nights without downstairs heat, and the projected freeze on its way. They quoted me a cost of $1250 plus tax when the part came in. We got a referral for Service Wizard from a friend, and immediately called them for a second opinion. Service Wizard technician Emilio Morales arrived within 2 hours, confirmed the source of the problem as the smart valve, and gave me a free second opinion and a repair quote of $1450, indicating that there were some connection problems that needed to be brought up to code. When we asked the cost of the replacement cost of a n
