Jason and Alex did a superb job of installing a new faucet for the kitchen sink. They were efficient, courteous, and completed the work in a very short timeframe. City of Carrollton must have a new policy where a permit is required in order to perform a gas test, before the inspector passes the property for gas line activation with Atmos. Long story short, I hired Carrollton Plumbing Service to obtain a permit from City of Carrollton and perform the gas test. They charged me $350 for the test, and unfortunately, the gas test failed. Then Ken quoted me $700 for 3 hours to identify where the leaks are and repair them. I agreed to carry on the work, but after the repairs, the gas test failed again. Then Ken suggested I begin to cut in to the walls to identify where the leaks are, instead of giving me the option to cap off the fire place and dryer gas lines, which I did not need as long as water heater and HVAC gas lines are working. He charges me another $150 to simply cap off those 2 lines after I mentioned that's what I want to do. Never once did he offer that as a solution until I mentioned I want to do that. "Under slab sewer leak in townhome" Ken and Josh did a fast, efficient, city permitted and inspected repair on my main sewer line 4 feet under the laundry near the center of home. With no way to tunnel they arrived at 8am, covered the room with plastic, took out 4 tiles (Yes four), went down a 32x32 hole, dug a 4ftx5ft hole then repaired and tested the line BY 12 NOON. City inspector was out at 8am the next day with a green tag. That permit and green tag keeps my homeowners insurance and the plumbers liability insurance valid. I actually fired the first plumber I had scheduled because they showed up to do the work but were trying to sneak the work in without a permit. After the guys filled in the hole, they drilled the old concrete and put rebar across the patch before filling with new concrete (very impressed). They literally backed out the door rolling up plastic and I swear this house is spotless!
