Lon Smith Roofing

Matt Peter came out for a routine roof inspection. Lon Smith installed a new roof about 12 years and we were overdue for an inspection. Matt physically inspected our very steep Plano roof and found no problems except for some minor repairs needed on the chimney siding which will be handled by our painter. I appreciate Matt’s professional manner, no sales pressure and he even recommended a company that installs gutter leaf guards. All this at no cost to us. I was told by my homeowners insurance that there was damage to my roof and they would be canceling my policy unless it was repaired. I called Lon Smith roofing on a Tuesday night, they had a contractor (Jason) out the next day at 9AM to inspect the roof. He spent about 10 minutes inspecting it, took a few photos, and knocked on my door telling me he wasn't sure why they said my roof was damaged, and that he can't see any reason for repair or cancelation of my policy. He could have sold me roofing repairs I didn't need (and I was ready to have them done), but didn't. They also didn't charge for the inspection at all. He just sent me the info in a text and said to email him if I needed him to send me anything official for my insurance company, and then left. While I didn't use them for an actual repair, I 100% will when/if I need a roof replacement in the future. Service: Roof inspection
