Last year I suspected a roof leak of my condo and ask the management company to request an inspection. A member of this service crew from Resolute Roofing stopped by and asked me if I saw any water stains on the ceiling and I said no but I smell something moldy, so I think it's better to have it checked. He said he would have to ask another person to come. Later I got a phone call saying they cannot inspect the roof if I couldn't tell where the leak is. Some weeks later, I got a bill through HOA that I needed to pay a $125 inspection fee. I tried to dispute the charge because there wasn't any inspection done not to mention any report. They said they made a trip, but it was just someone happened to work in the neighborhood and passed by. He didn't even have a ladder with him. I had to make a few phone calls to the company owner, as well as presenting my case at the community board meeting to have this charge resolved.
