On Duty Handyman

Essam and team did a variety of jobs at our house in October. He was able to fit around our schedule and the work was timely and excellent with no hassle. Very professional, reasonably priced, with no surprises. Over the course of 4 days his team did extensive dry wall work in our basement and dining room, installed vinyl flooring, repaired a rotting window frame, and also installed recessed lighting in our living room and dining room. We couldn't be happier with everything and intend to keep asking him for help on future projects as things come up.

Essam and his team recently completed finishing our basement and we couldn't be happier! Their skill and craftsmanship is excellent - very close attention to detail and everything looks perfect. They were very friendly and polite and but for hammering and sawing and banging and sanding were very quiet and unassuming. They cleaned up their workspace each day and left their equipment and materials very nicely organized and out of the way (which is important because my 3 year old son wanted to check the progress almost every night). Essam was wonderful to work with in our design phase and helped my wife and I make decisions on our first building project. He was a great project manager and made things very easy with his subs and materials delivery and pick up. I can't recommend his team highly enough for odd job repairs (we found him on Yelp for that reason) and high-end renos!

This might be the worst experience I’ve had with a contractor. I should’ve known that this wasn’t going to go well when I talked to Esam and was given a 3 day window to come out (with a 30 min notice). That should’ve told me two things – unprofessional and unreliable. When I asked for a more specific window, he could only give a 2 day window. Tell tale sign to walk away... well, lo and behold, here is the last day of that window and I receive a text message asking to do the job next week. Really?! I’ll go elsewhere. Oh, by the way, this was a SIMPLE job of replacing an interior ( bathroom) door. I had other projects that needed to be done, but I wanted to see how they handled this one first. Don’t even waste your time with this company...
