On Duty Handyman

We are so lucky to have found On Duty Handyman. We had a number of house projects and fixes we needed to do - one of them being a hole in the ceiling that we had cut out because a leak had happened. Essam and his team did a fabulous job addressing each issue meticulously, and the end result is perfect. They were punctual, respectful, efficient, and did quality work - I can't recommend them enough. I won't hesitate to call on them again if I need to do any other fixes or renovations in the future.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this review. I wrote about Essam and his team a year ago when they did a superb job renovating my bathrooms. They also repaired some outside lighting and took care of a few other minor house problems (interior door wouldn't close) we've struggled with for years. Today we had a flood in our house and about 30 gallons of water ended up in our ceiling. Not only was that horrible but it threatened our hardwood floors. Essam specializes in repairs one call from me and he was here within minutes. He drained the water, opened the ceiling so as to prevent mold, cleaned up the mess from the cracked ceiling and protected my hardwood. I've used many contractors in the 20 years l've lived in this area. This might be the worst experience I’ve had with a contractor. I should’ve known that this wasn’t going to go well when I talked to Esam and was given a 3 day window to come out (with a 30 min notice). That should’ve told me two things – unprofessional and unreliable. When I asked for a more specific window, he could only give a 2 day window. Tell tale sign to walk away... well, lo and behold, here is the last day of that window and I receive a text message asking to do the job next week. Really?! I’ll go elsewhere. Oh, by the way, this was a SIMPLE job of replacing an interior ( bathroom) door. I had other projects that needed to be done, but I wanted to see how they handled this one first. Don’t even waste your time with this company...
