Adam, Lifetime's HVAC technician, did an exceptional job cleaning our 2 mini splits. I was pleasantly surprised that having him in my home was not uncomfortable, as that is usually my biggest fear. Heat pump replacement We had a lemon Rheem unit that was just losing parts left and right. Lifetime, specifically Rudy, Nate, Derrick and Allie all worked their butts off to call Rheem's rep on a daily basis to get them to replace the unit, as the compressor was the last to go after the fan motor, temp sensor, temp board, and reversing valve. Not an ideal situation to be in and they understood that and worked to help come to a financially sound option. They worked with me to not only get the unit replaced by Rheem, but also were great at weighing out all options and price points, from doing the compression repair, installing the same unit, or updating the unit. They layed it all out, recommended a path, and i agreed with it and we pursued the unit warrantied unit swap out. As an additional note, they also made right a repair that took two visits and was a misdiagnosis between temp sensor vs. temp sensor board and only charged the board replacement. They have come out several times on emergency to fix our furnace. Each time they have quoted a different problem ranging from power issues with the home, thermostat to broken sequencers. They replaced both sequencers that likely didn’t need to be replaced and we’re back at square one with a non functioning furnace 1 month later. I found a burnt wire in the furnace after their shoddy work and have called another company. The customer service and office are friendly but the techs aren’t properly trained. Wasted several hours of my time and lots of money. The tech actually suggested I get the furnace completely replaced to fix the issue. If you have an electric furnace, I’d recommend not wasting your time/money on Lifetime. EDIT: We had a few other companies come out and ask why Lifetime had installed an AC with our resistance heating furnace instead of installing a heat pump - they shared that this was an inefficient installation which should not have been done in the first place.
