From the start of the project in JUNE until they finished (what we would allow them on the property to finish so they could give us the warranty on the roof) in DECEMBER was a nightmare. There was little to no communication from the company. I was given the run around that they would be at my house to finish the project before July 4th. Never came to finish, so I called multiple times until the end of July. For my sanity I stopped calling them. It took until End of October beginning of November before they contacted me to finish the roof (because down payment was pulled from the finance company because they could not get a reply back from American Modern Exteriors). The owner texted my husband and threatened to sue us and wanted us to contact him personally. When husband tried to contact him he would not answer the phone or call back. They finally came to put eve vents in last week. They barely pulled out of the driveway and emailed us the final bill (with payment due in 3 days). My h

Any positive review is a fake. This company stole our down payment and doesn’t even care that we took them to court and won our civil case. They have no intention to ever pay us but will continue to scam others out of their money. We are looking to file criminal charges.

I believe Modern Exteriors deserves a rating of 0 because that is the amount of work that has been done, the amount of accurate information provided and the amount of accountability this company has. I got an estimate and signed on with Modern Exteriors in May of 2020 which was easily the worst decision I’ve made. All the information sounded great, but little did I know, it was all inaccurate. After months with no communication, lies and delays I requested to cancel my order and receive a refund. In November 2020 Modern Exteriors informed me I would receive a full refund for the down payment and it would be mailed out within the next couple weeks. 7 months later, after many emails, phone calls and voice mails that went unanswered, Modern Exteriors went back on what was previously discussed and said I wouldn’t be receiving a refund due to the materials being delivered.
